The Dauntless Damsels

This blog is dedicated to our fandom of the great Mark Ferguson and the great Ioan Gruffudd, our favorite actors. We will also post about the stories we are working on, our favorite books, authors, movies, music, and anything else we love and adore. Cheers!

I'm also a usually quiet, reserved Lady, who enjoys books, tea, baking, and movies! I spend most of my time reading one of my favorite books or wishing I was reading my favorite books. My Grand Passion is history, particularly the Regency Period in England, when Jane Austen wrote, Lord Nelson defeated the French Fleet at Trafalgar, the Duke of Wellington defeated Napoleon, and men were Gentlemen and women Ladies. I cherish the thought of being a Lady and love manners, being proper, and having proper tea. My favorite tea is Twinings, especially Earl Grey or Prince of Wales. My specialty to make is Scones with Devon Cream. I am a Catholic and a Conservative.

Bronte Blog!

Today I visited Austen Blog, which I posted about here.

They had a post with a link to a great blog called Bronte Blog. It is a blog dedicated to the Bronte sisters.

I was delighted to find it, as I love their books. Indeed, my tradition (of 3 years) is to read Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte every October. The month goes perfectly well with the story. I'll be reading it very soon.

I look forward to reading more from the Bronte Blog! Have a look and read one of the novels.

Thanks for the mention and glad you liked it! :D

What a nice tradition!! My favourite Brontë book is Jane Eyre so perhaps I should do something similar.

October is indeed the perfect time to read WH - the beginning of the autumn is very appropriate :)

Just passing by (anything with 'Brontë' and 'blog' catches my eye ;) I too have a Brontë studies blog. You might enjoy it- although it's a little heavy on the Jane Eyre content. But today I just reported the good news that Tenant is finally coming out on DVD!

My friends and I started a little club awhile back that had months for all of the Brontë novels, and I think October WAS WH month. I think you must be right that there's something about it that goes well with WH. (I think August or July was our Jane Eyre month... December is Tenant of Wildfell Hall).
